Fela Kuti: I found this picture on tumblr and fell in love. The clothes they're wearing paired with the accessories are seriously inspiring. What is so beautiful about this particular picture is that the inspiration seems to be never ending.

Truely brilliant patterns and vibrant colors.

Still on that inspiration from my people. The bracelets and the fabric is just beautiful.
Whoever says people who wear traditional wear don't put fashionable detail in their looks never knew an African woman.

Side note: I also wanted to let you know that right now I'll be able to post photography I've done and maybe things I'm up to [unlikely but possibly] ... but right now a review post is pretty unlikely [sad face]. Right now things feel so hectic when I thought I would rest.
Can't wait to get home a relax a bit. :)

INSPIRATION: AFRICAN LADY STYLED WITH INSPIRATION.

Found this while on Google, don't remember where I got this from but none the less I still love it and think it still needs to be posted up. What can I say it's inspiration for me. The use of print and texture is amazing, it's not too heavy on the eyes with the prints and textures of the accessories even. I love the transition from the color block and monotone blue to the print, while using those tassel like things [not sure that's the name].

Correction: said I don't remember where I got it from but Mbabazi of Unsung Dots and Adiya of The Corner Shop told me this is from Chichia London collection ... Thanks ladies!

INSPIRATION: lately I've been feeling very inspired by three things: simple/minimalism [more than usual], Africa and 80s vintage jewelry. And in this image it portrays two of my main inspirations ... which two inspirations do you think are in this image?

Was watching this video while on Street Etiquette. I just fell in love with it, everything he was saying was exactly how I felt. A lot of people feel like someone doesn't have the same opinion and to see that someone says the exact same thing is amazing and refreshing.
One thing that is crucial in everything he says is "classic style just means wearing things with longevity, not worrying about trends" - Amen!

INSPIRATION: OFF DUTY..JUST AS LOVELY.

Model inspiration: ... I love how they look amazing on duty and off duty.

I didn't just post on models for no reason [part from the lovely inspiration] but click [HERE] and see a great interview from Sick by Trend of a model [gorgeous male model] ... forget the images I really enjoyed reading the interview. Go my children AND read lol :D

Obviously I can't design clothes 'cause of no time [you know with school and 'ish] but I've decided to get into something that won't take too much time and will still let me get my creative outlet out!

INSPIRATION: GOING TRIBAL [AFRICA = MOTHERLAND]

was at The Moptop Maven and found these on one of her post and had to share this with you, now did my research with these images and found out that they are from Ken Barboza Assosiates aka KBA Inc. ... now they weren't just these images. I actually found more there 'casue they are like an agency that represents photographers, hair & make-up artist [or separate], stylists and manicurists. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF TALENTED PEOPLE ON THERE...check it out, clicky click!

INSPIRATION TALK: when I saw these I was so hooked, 'cause I just felt an over load of inspiration. At times when I see images I get ideas of fashion sketches, and I got a lot of ideas from these and what I hate about looking at inspiring images is that, I can't make the things I design into reality at the moment so I'm stuck with stacks and stacks of filled sketch books and napkins [I sketch anywhere if there is no paper .lol. ]

check it: lately I've been featuring a lot of stuff I've been coming across [I must say loving it :D ]. And I actually came across a brand that I'm going to do an interview with soon, so be sure to watch for that!

my part two on men as inspiration, here are a few themed pictures, the saga like my part une on the GQ men [CLICK HERE]...I love these images 'cause these guys have a "sit down and relax" type of vibe to them, but you can still tell they love to look good by wearing each piece with caution. The pictures say it all about these stud.muffins, so enjoy looking at their instinct lead fashion choices...

if you know me you know that I'm completely inspired by men's fashion and men's style, even thought they don't have the same type of fashion freedom to do as women do [although the old rules of fashion are changing, avant-garde baby!], but there ability to make a look so simple look so inspiring by just adding a little bit of detail from the cuffs to the low socks they always find something that when you look close enough makes you go.....[yeah speechless, well that happens to me!]

my dad is also someone that helped me learn to appreciate detail and the family member who I get my fashion gene from and because of him I learnt less is more and detailing is everything [the influence to my designs]!!!

this is just part one of my style inspiration: men; here I'll do different types of men's wear styles in themes, I'm starting off with the GQ man, who pays attention to detail and adores sophistication in his looks and dresses like his being force to go to an event with his girlfriend with a smile on his face, every single day [24/7]

men's inspired style is my ideal sense of style and because I'm in Ghana and many people don't understand fashion [only of a niche of them do], and fashion here is looking expensive basically, personal style by expression isn't something you see very often...but if I had to bring up a look it would be men inspired, and as you know you environment can sometimes dumb down your true style and because you style isn't in demand [apparel wise] you're forced to make your own style using what everyone else is wearing...sad isn't it!! :(

I've been on a search for one of these (get this, right now I'm in Ghana and I haven't traveled out recently)...but I know somewhere I will find one of these, just have to keep searching!!
